Here is the first look at my moodboard and a peak into the branding direction. Although the logo still needs some work, I am happy with the direction. I want Sunup to feel like a breath of fresh air. My ideal user is someone youthful and fun. I looked for images that felt whimsical and cheery. I am hoping to have the app feel very fun and although it is important that it isn’t distracting, I want to make sure that it doesn’t feel sterile.
For my typeface I’m using Filson Pro, which I. Am. In. Love. With. I discovered it on myfonts.com only to be disappointed by the price. Luckily, I was able to find the same typeface on typekit AND they had it for desktop and web. I was pretty stoked.
